Hello,

 

     My name is Steven Close and I am the founder and owner of Sheds & Junk. I have dreamed of being a business owner since I was young, working with my dad on construction sites. I went from smaller projects on family properties, to working on actual job sites with my dad. I remember being impressed with some of the craftsmanship I saw, and falling in love with creating things of beauty with my own hands.

     After high school, I did the college thing, taking classes in the construction field. I graduated with my Bachelors in Engineering, and a few years of building houses and sheds later, I found myself signing up for the Army. After eleven years of military experience, learning all kinds skills, and finding my wife, it was time to move on to my next phase of life. I finally wanted to make my dream of owning my own business come true. My wife was also exiting the military at the time, and we decided that starting a business together suited both of our future goals.

     When deciding what business to start, I remembered my love for construction, but I needed a smaller scale that my wife and I could start with only ourselves, and with our physical limitations from our military disabilities. Sheds seemed the perfect opportunity to work with my hands in the freedom of the fresh air, while also providing a quality product to my community.

     My mission for Sheds & Junk is simple: Providing quality products, in a friendly environment. I want Sheds & Junk to remain a family oriented company, treating customers as one of our own. I never want our customers to be treated impersonally, or as a dollar sign, nor our employees to feel like a number. If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. I look forward to adding you to our family!
